Perfection Achieved: 10-0!

To be on Top....... is a great feeling!
We just completed a perfect flag football season with back to back victories earlier today. The scoreboard didnt really reflect how tough of games they were, but we certainly know how to finish games. It was fun!
∞ Locking up the #1 seed was a goal for us. We didnt intially plan on being the number 1 seed in the playoffs, but after winning our first couple games we set that goal. Several of those W's were come-from-behind victories
∞ After winning the first couple games, we decided to try and win them all, hoping for a first round bye in the playoffs. Then we found out that there were no BYE weeks in the playoffs so that plan wasn't going to be very effective.
∞ Final plan....NEVER LOSE!! Our fina,and most important goal is what really mattered.

In our first game today, we kicked off first, and that team drove the length of the field on us. They were confident and had an extremely mobile quarterback with a strong arm. However his accuracy was suspect, and he threw an interception on the GOALINE. My boy Z (see the pic below) snagged it and ran it out to give us some breathing room. From that point on, our defense continued making big plays. We were up 20-0 at the half, and rolling. So, as long as we didnt turn the ball over in the 2nd half, we would cruise to victory, and prepare for our second contest of the day.

We took the same approach for the second game and kicked off first.... our opponents scored in a first couple plays, and then picked off a pass and scored again. So, after about 5 mintutes we were down 13-0. They had a FULL head of steam, and were excited and confident.

They, however, were not ready for us to scored 32 straight UNANSWERED points. We scored the final 19 points of the first half and they had yo kick to us to begin the 2nd half. We exposed a mismatch and socred on a FLY ROUTE on the first play of the half. That right there broke their spirits. After one more score, we had the game in the bag, so it didnt matter that I had a defensive blunder later in the game when I mistimed my dive for an interception.

10-0 we great. Check out our awesome squad! We might just make it 2 seasons in a row......STAY TUNED
