One day after an abundance of Green Beer was consumed around the globe, and several days after a Bobcat storm blew through the MAC Conference Tourney, OU laced up their dancing shoes! The might not have had the size of their opponents, or the big name coach like their opponents, but they did have MORE POINTS than their opponents.
OU's convincing win over the Georgetown Hoyas rattled brackets across the nation. That is why I LOVE March Madness. Sure, my bracket is toast already....(if NOVA had lost to ROBERT MORRIS, I would have never made another bracket ever) but that's half the fun. (As I am typing this, Washington just took a 2 point lead on Marquette....thus taking out another team I had moving past the first round)
My BOBCATS stood strong, and will advance. It's more of a shock than the Murray State upset, because Murray State won 30 games this year.....never count out a 30 game winner...they've already proven themselves.
Our guard-play was impressive (Washington just won....stupid bracket) and seriously I was expecting Freeman to take over the game.....nope
Who knew that a team with an RPI rank of #94 could beat a team with an RPI rank of #7????? A small town in Ohio, which was probably still hungover from their previous evening at Lucky's or any other place with green beer on tap, believed. I just hope they refilled those kegs....because the will surely be flowing tonight.
Hopefully we lace up our dancing shoes the same way for the next round....it doesn't get any easier.
